Week 2 from Tuesday 26th October

 Hi ya all,

Sorry for the delay in this post. I forgot how to get photo's from camera. All sorted now.

       Tuesday 26th October 2021

We headed to Agnes Falls today, WOW. Such beauty so close to home and I never knew.

OMG How beautiful !!

When we got out of the car the MOZZIES were everywhere!
Have never been so pleased to wear a mask.

A short 200 metre walking track leads from the carpark to a viewing area overlooking the falls.

Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve is situated 160km south-east of Melbourne

Cool waters from trickling mountain streams drain from the southern slopes of the Strzelecki Ranges before flowing into the meandering Agnes River.

We then went for a drive to Yarram, found an amazing coffee shop (see below) and an amazing Patchwork shop.
With so many babies due over the next 12 months, I am always on a hunt for baby quilt kits.
And I found one 😊

Yarram Drapery is located in the heart of Yarram in one of the original buildings, which was built in 1907 and still has many of its original fixtures.

We decided to leave Welshpool Wednesday instead of Thursday and head to Sale early.  The joy of not having to keep to a time schedule is very freeing.

 Wednesday 27th October 2021

Today we headed to Sale. Lovely weather today. We stopped into Yarram on the way thru to Sale. Yummo coffee. "The Bean Pedlar" best coffee so far in our journey.

The Bean Pedlar is a new establishment right in the heart of Yarram, situated in a building with a rich cultural history.

We set up at Sale, beautiful park. Lots of lovely trees.

Thursday 28th October 2021

Today Richard drove me to visit my sister 😍
Spent a lovely day with Deb, Jacqui and Poppy. Spent some time in Debbie's HUGE craft room.
Then went to lunch at Café 3847 in Rosedale. And OH NO I found the patchwork shop. Now this was the 2nd patchwork shop.

Lily Lane Patchwork & Quilting
Lily Lane Quilting resides in the splendour of London House which was built in 1882, in the main street of Rosedale. London House's life began as a drapery, then it was operated as the Rosedale Courthouse until it was sold again to the Freemasons of Victoria and was the Rosedale Freemasons Temple until 1999. After that time it was the home of an antique business, and Lily Lane Quilting began operation from a renovated London House on 21st May 2011.

Whilst I was with Deb, Jacqui and Poppy, Richard had some fun of his own. He put up the annex for the first time, took him approximately 3 hours.

Richard did such a great job. P.S. Not a video

WILD WEATHER TODAY

What a crazy weather day, heard lots of stories from home of damage.
For Rich and I it was a crazy dash to get the annex down. Took us about 15 mins. I had this great idea to fold up in the wind gusts. The main piece of annex quickly turned into a parachute, we changed our mind about folding it up, we had visions of flying away, and shoved it all into the back seat of the Jeep.

Lost power for most of the day, all good, we have Solar panels. Just needed to use stove to boil water for coffee.
We went for dinner with Debbie & Doug to Sale Greyhound Club "Graze Family Bistro"
Was a great night, enjoyed spending time with my family.
When we got home we had power! Luckily as our diesel heater died and needs to be replaced. So we needed power to run the air conditioner / heater.

Gippsland Vehicle Collection - The Maffra Shed

The Gippsland Vehicle Collection provides Gippsland with an outstanding rotating display of interesting vehicles: cars, motorbikes, machinery, historic vehicles, carriages, trucks and auto memorabilia.

The motor museum in “The Maffra Shed” is located on the Sale Road in Maffra. The massive Shed is an old vegetable de-hydrating factory built during WW2 and is owned by Murray Goulburn Co-Op. The open-trussed building of around 2200 Square Metres is well worthy of a visit. Features such as Audio-Visual facilities, BBQs and meeting areas are provided for the use of community groups and car-clubs visiting the museum as part of their weekend leisure events.

Enjoyed wandering around this eclectic display, including 1000's of toy cars and trucks. Saw lots of things that could have come straight out of Dad's garage. Was a memorable visit for me.

Till next time

We will have a lovely beverage for you.

Stay safe.

The Journey Begins

 Hi ya all,

An update on our journey thus far.

Meet our new home. Crusader  Excalibur  Serenity

So we headed to Corinella on Thursday, our first official destination!

The morning sky the day we headed to Corinella

Richard deep in concentration towing our huge home on wheels.

Our view from Corinella Caravan Park.

Another of the view

So after setting up home, we headed for a drive around town, went to the general store for a few supplies. On the way back to the van Richard just had to find the local bowling green.
That evening we caught up with good friends Jen & Al. Needless to say a wonderful night, lots of drinks and laughs. Been way too long since we last saw Jen and Al, but as always we continued as if it was only last week. So blessed to have such good friends. Forgot to grab a photo of us. Will endeavour to remember next time.
The rolling hills of Gippsland
Friday we went to Wonthaggi, Richard caught up with some of his former customers, we did a little shopping and had a look around. Nice day, lovely weather.

Sunday we headed to Phillip Island for the day. Had lunch, enjoyed the atmosphere and the beautiful views. Unfortunately I left the camera in the car. My bad, sorry.😕

Monday we packed up and headed to Port Welshpool. We were really excited to be heading to our next destination. Travelled well, Richard did a great job, but the pressure of towing is draining. We were a bit disappointed when we got to the caravan park, not real inviting, needed a good gardener I’d say.
At Port Welshpool, only stayed 2 nights here, mozzies were ridiculous.

We headed to Agnus Falls on Tuesday. Pictures in next weeks blog.

Till next time

We will have a lovely beverage for you.

Stay safe.
